Erin Ramsdell, DVM, Medical Director

Erin Ramsdell, DVM, is the Medical Director at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. With 11 years of practice and a degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, she excels in providing high-quality and efficient care to her patients. Dr. Ramsdell takes great pride in her work, especially in the realm of emergency medicine. The fast-paced environment of the clinic is where she truly thrives. When faced with urgent situations, she demonstrates her expertise by providing high-quality and efficient care to her patients, while also offering guidance and support to their concerned owners. Dr. Ramsdell particularly enjoys delving into medical cases and wound care, showcasing her commitment to comprehensive treatment. However, she is always ready and eager to tackle any type of emergency that walks through the clinic doors. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and three dachshunds, engaging in nature walks, playground visits, and sports events.

Jessica Rubin, DVM

A New York native, Dr. Rubin received her Bachelor’s and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Cornell University. After 8 years of practicing small animal emergency medicine in NY, Dr. Rubin relocated to sunny southern Florida, where she continues to work in the emergency room, as well as operate a mobile home euthanasia service. 

Alex Murray, DVM

Dr. Murray has been practicing for two years. She completed her education at the University of Missouri – Columbia. Alex takes pride in her commitment to education and communication with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans for each animal. Her passion for fostering the human-animal bond drives her dedication to ensure the best possible care for all her patients. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and spending quality time with her family in the beautiful Florida sunshine.

Kate Rivers, DVM

Dr. Rivers has been practicing veterinary medicine for 10 years. She attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. When it comes to veterinary medicine and taking care of her patients, Dr. Rivers prides herself on thriving in a fast-paced environment with a variety of cases. She finds equal enjoyment in performing emergency soft tissue surgeries and handling critical care cases. One of the biggest challenges in emergency medicine is guiding pet owners through unexpected and often emotional decisions regarding their sick pets. Dr. Rivers takes great pride in providing compassionate and understanding guidance during these difficult times.

In her free time, Dr. Rivers enjoys spending quality time with her family, which includes her two children, fiancé, and step-son. She also has a passion for running and training for races. Whenever the weather allows, she loves bringing her boxer, Phoebe, along as her running buddy.
