Fees includes: DVM examination,, 12-hour block of care in our hospital, fluid management (fluids supplied by the referring veterinarian), pain management, antibiotics (up to 4 injections) or oral medications as prescribed by the referring veterinarian (if indicated), and I-stat w/PCV/TS (as indicated).

Treatments &amp; monitoring included in this package:

  <li>Patient must be stable with no major electrolyte or blood glucose derangements</li>
  <li>Minimal blood work (including electrolytes as a bare minimum) checked by referring DVM within 8–12 hours of presentation</li>
  <li>IV catheter placement and treatments should be initiated at the referring clinic prior to transfer</li>
<li>IV fluids should be supplied by the referring veterinarian</li>
</ul>

Add-ons to basic overnight care fees can be added and an estimate will be provided to the client if indicated.

We launched NPVEC Overnight Monitoring specifically with the needs of the veterinary community and pet owners in mind. Referring veterinary feedback helped us tailor the program to better serve you, your patients, and your clients.

The goal is to exercise with as little restriction as possible at all times.</p><p dir="auto" style="text-align: left">In many situations, oxygen therapy is a necessary treatment and has the potential to save lives. However, because the illnesses for which therapy is provided are by their very nature high-risk, certain fatalities are unavoidable.</p><p dir="auto" style="text-align: left">Short-term oxygen therapy is used to calm the pet down and allow for a workup without escalating the situation. In order to allow the lungs to expand and breathing to improve, this workup may involve collecting radiography or draining fluid from the chest.</p>

Despite the fact that oxygen treatment can be administered in a variety of ways, all of them must be done with the pet's comfort in mind.
