Cats & Small Dogs: $450 - $500<br>
Medium/Large Dogs: $550 - $600<br>
(prices vary based on medications needed for different sized patients)

Fees includes: DVM examination,, 12-hour block of care in our hospital, fluid management (fluids supplied by the referring veterinarian), pain management, antibiotics (up to 4 injections) or oral medications as prescribed by the referring veterinarian (if indicated), and I-stat w/PCV/TS (as indicated).

Treatments &amp; monitoring included in this package:

<ul>
  <li>Patient must be stable with no major electrolyte or blood glucose derangements</li>
  <li>Minimal blood work (including electrolytes as a bare minimum) checked by referring DVM within 8–12 hours of presentation</li>
  <li>IV catheter placement and treatments should be initiated at the referring clinic prior to transfer</li>
<li>IV fluids should be supplied by the referring veterinarian</li>
</ul>

Add-ons to basic overnight care fees can be added and an estimate will be provided to the client if indicated.

Package for Overnight Post-Operative Care

We launched NPVEC Overnight Monitoring specifically with the needs of the veterinary community and pet owners in mind. Referring veterinary feedback helped us tailor the program to better serve you, your patients, and your clients.

  <li>Medication administration at the same doses and routes of administration as prescribed by referring DVM</li>
  <li>PCV/TS 1 to 2 times during a 12 hour period</li>

<li>Rewarming &amp; TLC</li>
</ul>

  <li>Patient requires additional blood work outside of PCV/TS</li>
  <li>Patient requires additional diagnostics such as ECG, radiographs, or ultrasound</li>

<p>No, we do not take appointments and we see cases on a triage basis.</p>

Can I make an appointment?

<p>Triage means that the most critical/life threatening cases will be seen first, regardless of order of arrival. While we strive to see all patients in a timely manner, due to the nature of emergencies, there may be a significant wait time for less life threatening cases.</p>

What is triage?

<p>We recommend calling before you arrive to let us know that you are coming. This allows our staff to be prepared for your pet’s needs as well as let you know of any current wait times. However, we gladly accept walk in patients as well.</p>

Do we have to call prior to coming in?

<p>Our address is 17829 Murdock circle. We are located between the Town center mall and Sam’s club in Port Charlotte in a group of professional buildings called Murdock Professional Center.</p>

Where are you located?

<p>We see dogs and cats. At this time we do not offer care for exotic species (birds, reptiles, rodents or small mammals) or large animals.</p>

Which species do you see?

<p>We will provide a detailed estimate of all services specific to each pet and situation based on the doctor’s physical exam findings and recommendations. Every case is unique and we tailor treatment specifically to each individual, therefore accurate estimates cannot be provided prior to the visit.</p>

What are your prices?

<p>We do not offer payment plans, nor do we accept third party phone payments or personal checks. All payment is due at the time of service. The person paying must be present with a valid driver’s license. We do accept all major credit cards, cash, CareCredit and Scratch pay. If you are in need of financial assistance, please see more information about CareCredit and Scratchpay in our resources section.</p>

Do you take payment plans?

<p>No, we are unable to accept stray pets or wild life. If you have found a stray dog or cat, you can contact animal control from your county. We are not licensed to treat wildlife, if you have found injured wild life you can contact Peace River Wildlife Center or Animal control.</p>

Do you take in stray pets and/or wildlife?

<p>We are currently open M-F 5 pm –8 am and 24 hours Saturday and Sunday. This means that any hospitalized patients on weekdays will need to be picked up by 7:30 am for discharge or transfer to your primary veterinarian.</p>
