Fees includes: DVM examination,, 12-hour block of care in our hospital, fluid management (fluids supplied by the referring veterinarian), pain management, antibiotics (up to 4 injections) or oral medications as prescribed by the referring veterinarian (if indicated), and I-stat w/PCV/TS (as indicated).

Treatments &amp; monitoring included in this package:

  <li>Patient must be stable with no major electrolyte or blood glucose derangements</li>
  <li>Minimal blood work (including electrolytes as a bare minimum) checked by referring DVM within 8–12 hours of presentation</li>
  <li>IV catheter placement and treatments should be initiated at the referring clinic prior to transfer</li>
<li>IV fluids should be supplied by the referring veterinarian</li>
</ul>

Add-ons to basic overnight care fees can be added and an estimate will be provided to the client if indicated.

(Do not use human toothpaste because it may cause an upset stomach in dogs.)</p><p dir="auto">Sunny is going to show us some easy steps to get you brushing those teeth.</p><p dir="auto"></p><p dir="auto">Most dogs will not comply if you just dive in and start brushing. Start by just showing your dog the toothbrush and paste.</p><p dir="auto"></p><p dir="auto">Your dog may be interested in this smell and want to take a taste. Go ahead and let him or her. Then give lots of praise. Good dog! Repeat this daily. Your dog will start looking forward to the daily toothpaste.</p><p dir="auto"></p><p dir="auto">Once your dog is happy about the thought of toothpaste, you can gently lift the lip and brush one tooth, and then give lots of praise again. Repeat this for several days.</p><p dir="auto"></p><p dir="auto">As your dog becomes comfortable with this routine you can gradually brush a few more teeth. This may take several weeks. Keep praising your dog. Be patient. It will be worth all of the work in the end. Eventually you can pull the lips back to reach the teeth far back in the mouth.</p><p dir="auto">Once you are able to brush all of the teeth you should try to do this every day. It should only take about 30 seconds to do a full tooth-brushing. Most dogs will ask for it so they can get their taste of toothpaste and praise.</p><p dir="auto">Not only will you be bonding with your dog, but alsobe providing a lifetime of good oral health!</p><p dir="auto"><br></p>
